$200 For Quick Monkey Work

I'm new to MonkeyEngine and don't have time to fiddle.  I'm hoping that someone with mad Monkey skillz could knock this out in an hour or so.  The gray bottle below was done using ray tracing and I know that I can't get that quality with OpenGL but I think I should be able to get pretty close.  The red bottle is my current progress with the Monkey.  You'll notice how there are no nice reflections and there is a nasty shadow on the bottle.

I'm using DAZ studio and I get OpenGL renders that are pretty close to the RayTracer.  The bottle needs to be metallic and shiny and I haven't found how to do that with MonkeyEngine just yet.  I need the following

a nice environment map (with right combine settings) would give you some neat faked reflections at least… (can look at TestEnvMap, but it would need tweaking from that)

What about the model??  To wipe one up would probably not take too long, however if it needs to be extremely accurate you may need to provide a model.

Hevee was able to respond and provide me a quick demo that looks like it's what I need.  Thanks a lot Hevee.  I'm really happy to be able to send someone a little extra spending money.  I think it will save me a lot of time.  Thanks Mr Coder for the suggestion.  I'll try to play with the TestEnvMap and see if I can get something that looks nice.

Cheers!  Michael

Me applauds Hevee

Nice job.  Can we see the updated shot when you get it ready?

Not only that - I checked back with mlconnor and he is nice enough to let me publish the work he paid for.
I can release the heavily commented source code so others might learn from it. I could even write up a few more lines and make it a full blown tutorial or something... I'll see to that before the week ends.
It gives me a better feeling to contribute something back too, originally I was planning to donate at least half the money but apparently my landlord, my broken PC and other parties are not in favor of that idea  :(

Cool, looking forward to seeing what you did.

I'm glad you had a chance to earn that hevee… And thanks, thoughts count for something.
