what software for creating a 3d world is compatible with jmonkey?
Also… it would appear that you will soon have another tool to consider - the Sandbox… Not completely out from the factory yet, but sure looks like it will get there.
The only one which has been created with jME in mind is MonkeyWorld3D. There are other options available, but it is harder to get the world from there to jME
And don’t forget about Scene Worker as an alternative in the future, although not finished is getting closer by the day.
Yeah most of the tools for world editing are non-language specific, they export greyscale heightmaps that you have to write code to convert for your program. I'm highly looking forward to Scene Worker…I have scene monitor now and scene worker looke like it'll be a million times more awesome!
