3ds max Terrain creation and Manipulation

Hey



I'm just wondering if it would be possible, and how I could create a large terrain in 3ds max, then create a .jme file from it, then split it up into tiles, then load then dynamically, as this would be much feasier than loading a height map, then coding the textures.



What are the boundries with .jme files, how much can you change/manipulate them?
