Sure, I’ll try to keep you updated. Right now, I just need to fill out some online paperwork (NDA & distribution agreement), enter my “company” info and some tax forms. My goal will be to convince them to get 3089 up at the same time (or close) to 3079, since I suspect many people will want the sequel on Steam too.

Wow that’s awesome! It’s a lot of work to get all those votes, nicely done! Can I ask what you did to get the word out about the game?

3079 was on Greenlight for a long time and most of the votes came from being on Greenlight early, before there were a ton of games. However, 3079 was also a part of IndieRoyale (that did really well) and Paulsoaresjr (big YouTube guy) and YogsCast did videos of 3079, which also helped a ton. Basically, getting “Let’s Play” YouTubers playing your game is big, getting on bundles & news sites are also helpful. Using reddit is also important (things like r/IndieGaming & r/GameDev).

That’s great info. I’ve found let’s plays quite helpful in getting people to check out a game. Thanks for the tips and I can’t wait to see it on stream!
