Animation decompose

Hello, when i’m export my animation in Jme from maya, this was’nt normal

Can be due to the fact that more than some vertices are linked to more than 4 bones.

Ogre does not support more than 4 bones per vertex, and the exporter should warn you about that (I don’t really know the maya exporter though)

it’s strange because in ogreMax win viewer i don’t have this problem

Are you using jME3?



I noticed that the model has many vertices with more than 4 bones. You can’t notice it in this model but in others it could cause artifacts so its best to avoid

Well, it works fine for me as well (using somewhat old build), but I had similar problem with one of my models (because of too many bone assignments). Fixed it by writing small code that goes through .xml and removes assignments with smallest weights.



I uploaded your file with removed assignments, you can try it, maybe it works…

With your model i don't have animation. it's with my animation where i have a problem !

PS : I have use your model with my skeleton and is OK but i donc have the material (i and after) thanks !! but how do you do for doing this model in red ? ?

Does it happen only when playing an animation? What if you select “null” under the animation control?

Is null if I have no animation, my alien does not move. it moves when I have a problem. but the model that Kasparz sent me works very well I want to know how he did it.
