Hey friends, I am getting interested in project world wind recently, and I wish to try my best to migrate it from jogl to jme, so I wish to know is there any similar project in progress, anybody have experience about this topic ?

Not that I know of, your field entirely :)… Do you plan to make a "viewer" or some kind of library to use the data?
I was actually looking into this back around September. I was looking to do a higher level conversion of bringing their mesh data and everything 'above' it into jME territory to plug straight in to our renderer. I ended up moving away from that route due to a change in priorities of my own project, but this data would still be very interesting
