Audacity 2.0 is out

Been out since march, in case someone didn’t notice. Good for editing sounds and converting to ogg format.

I’ve only played around with it a little, but as far as basics goes it’s an excellent open source option to the likes of ProTools, which is scarier to begin with anyhow.

I wouldn't go as far as to say its similar to pro tools, which is a pro multitrack recording application but its really good for the normal (two track) audio editing that one might have to do (where PT might be totally overblown). The multitracking in audacity has always been a bit quirky.

I had a lot of hope while clicking on the link…‘this time they might unclutter the GUI!’ But… :frowning:
