AwtPanelsContext question

I have a strange question … I am running the game in a OpenGL Display mode … I was wondering if at the same time, I can instantiate a custom instance of AwtPanelsContext since it’s just uding an off-screen buffer and create an AWTPanel that I will use in a regular JFrame as a popup? Will I break the world? Has this been done by someone before?

The reason why I want to do this is my game comes in 2 pieces … A swing application with an elaborate UI for researching / building stuff, and from there, I launch a regular JME application for exploring the solar system and in game game-play. I want to reuse my swing components in the JME application as regular JFrame popups for things like ship building etc.
