Basic model loading question

I have a model in 3ds Max that has a material that has a diffuse texture and a self illumination texture. My quesiton is, is there any format that will export from max to jme and use both textures to do what I want? I'm willing to use blender, milkshape or whatever it takes to get the job done, but I just can't seem to get this to work without manually going into jme and combining two explicitly defined textures.

Any thoughts?
