BitmapText texture alpha doesn't work on Mac

The attached screenshot shows the problem - the black parts of the texture don't blend. The screenshot is running TestBitmapText, but with a gray background to show the bug.



Is this a known problem?

oh darn, I'll look into it immediately … the bug is on all platforms :wink:



EDIT: fixed. the jme default font didn't have alpha info  XD I already checked in a new version. Just update form SVN and you should be good to go. Thanks for reporting this bug  :wink:

No problem, and thanks for fixing it so fast. So the problem only affected the default font and not bitmap fonts in general? It might be a good idea to switch the background color for that to grey permanently though, otherwise you won't even notice if it reappears :slight_smile:

I think it looks better with black background; better contrast. When someone makes a font he/she will notice when using it (just like you did) as soon as the background of an app is not plain black :)
