Blend Swap

I just came across this site which must be fairly new called Blend Swap. Lots of models with their licenses specifically tagged (I’m seeing a good amount of Creative Commons Zero material!)

Definitely worth a look

that’s been around for a bit actually…nice models too

Yeah, I’d already had this one bookmarked some months back after someone else shared it… but it was nice to have a reminder since I may need some stand-in models “real soon now”.

I was excited to go ahead and try this model with the blend importer but there was a compatibility issue with the Blender loader not support bTrackToConstraint :frowning:

Yeah, that’s the thing… I think I need to know Blender pretty well before I can even use other peoples’ models in JME because I’ll need to know how to rework them.

Yea I agree. However I have encountered some professional model developers who "get" how models should work across various 3d platforms and be used in games, and usually those models work great. It takes a bit of tracking down, but when you find them they are worth bookmarking. There are some on turbosquid who are excellent and have their own sites that you can purchase from. Of course they usually aren't free.

Payment doesn't bother me... just hard to find stuff worth paying for because of the above reasons.

Oh handy! Thanks for sharing.
