Hi, I am new with JMonkey.
Can I edit JMonkey scene files in text editor like I can do it with android layouts? Are they XML?
Thanks in advance.

hi, i tried to open them and answer is probably no, because they are binary and exclusively made for jme, not textual. you may be lucky with some hex editor, but i have no experience with hex editors
I mean is editing jme3 scene in text editor is something I’m supposed to do? Does authors of this format want from me to use text editor?
I think @Ascaria answered these questions already but I will do so again: No, its not XML, its binary and no, we don’t expect you to use a text editor to edit them.

He answered “probably no”, not “no”.
Thanks for the answer.
