Cannot get even a default basicgame program to work

Whenever I try to run ANY jme3 code, even the default code created upon creating a basicgame, it won’t work. I’m using netbeans (my jmplatform wont work D:), and this is the error I recieved:

The instruction at "0x03148f8c" referenced memory at "0x033bb8e8". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program

Does anybody know how I can fix this problem? I really need JME3 to work so that I can begin work on a game. Also, if it makes any difference, I can load up the display settings fine. It's the window after that that gives this error.

Thanks ahead of time!

This is usually an indication of an incompatible graphics card our outdated graphics drivers, as indicated by similar threads.

Could you post your hardware & driver specifications please?

Hopefully this is what you wanted:

eMachines
T6524
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor
3500+
2.19 GHz, 896 MB of RAM
Physical Address Extension

If not, guide me how to find the specs of what you wanted?

The ram seems like there is a onbaord graficcard, older are usually not capable of running jme3 due to the higher requirements for the shader based material system

Its a fairly old video card, but it is ATI and from 2005 so it should support shaders and thus jME3.

Make sure you have the latest drivers installed, go to this page:

http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

Step 1: Integrated Motherboard Graphics

Step 2: Radeon Xpress Series

Step 3: Radeon Xpress 200

Step 4: Choose your OS here (if you didn’t install any new OS on the PC, choose Windows XP Media Center Edition)

Click Display Results

Scroll down and click the download link, install driver, restart system

After that you should have proper drivers, try jME3 again and it should work

Well I uninstalled jme3 to reinstall it to see if it makes a difference somehow. If it doesn’t work, il do what you said.

Ok well reinstallation fixxed my platform problem, but it still cant run even the absolute default mygame. New error:

‘The instruction at “0x0d638f8c” referenced memory at “0x0de2b8e8”. The memory could not be “read”.’

It is pretty much the exact same besides for the two code things in quotes.

Did you do what Momoko said?

“Well I uninstalled jme3 to reinstall it to see if it makes a difference somehow. If it doesn’t work, il do what you said.”

You tell me.

I’ll go do it right now.

Ok, about to update. I’ll tell you what happens later at some point.

During the installation it said that the radeon Xpress 200 wasnt compatible with XP then closed.

RAAGE.

Hopefully you chose the right OS in that menu …
