Well by playing with the particle manager and by coincidence I came by these two nice looking effects.

Been such a long time that I cant remember it… But the second effect is basically just a particle manager with large particles that has a short time to live. Trouble wit this effect that it requires many particles to look good and thus eats up your CPU
