Compund Sine Waves (Wind Waker Graphics Analysis)

Soemthing I found on /r/gamedev. It’s essentially how to reproduce the ocean from legend of zelda wind waker which relies on compund sine waves.

I never realized you could get such cool looking curves by just adding sine waves with different frequencies and offsets.

Definitely a useful trick I’d say.

Hehe, actually every sound/wave is technically a combination of sine waves of different frequencies :slight_smile: (See Fourier transformation)
