Confused about boundingvolumes

the way you did is correct, set Bounds, update Bounds, generate physics.

you always need to do those 3 steps when creating a new Object.

but I don't see how this would work for nodes that don't contain a Geometry.

But you always have some kind of geometry within a Physics Node. I don't know a case where you would want to generate Physics Information for a Node without a visual Representation.

Well, how about the camera? I'd like to constrain the camera, but I don't see any reason to draw boxes (or other geometries) around it or anything.

I could always add geometry to the player and attach the camera to that, but that sounds like too much work and asking for trouble. I could also place the camera inside a box and turn on backside culling, but really, I prefer not to use ugly hacks. There has to be a way to generate bounding volumes without geometries, no?

i would think that, thats the way to go, but i am new to jme so maybe there are other practices to do that.
