Does JMonkey use Darkstar?

Hi I was just wondering

Does JMonkey use Project Darkstar?

They are two technologies serving separate purposes… You can pair them though if you want.  (a la Project Wonderland)

Thanks for the reply

In what way are there purposes separate as I havent programed in about 8 years and im trying to get back into it.

Im interrested in making a roleplaying game in which players can join up over the internet.

Project Darkstar is a game server, if offers persistence, networking, fail overs etc. JMonkey is a game engine which takes care of rendering, effects, math, physics etc.

There's a few indie MMOs in the Showcase section. They tend to use JGN as server which is easier to set up.

Thanks for the advice

And it's moderately helpful that its creator hangs around these forums as well…
