Error loading a scene containing a node with BitmapText

When an attempt is made to load a scene containing a node with BitmapText an error is generated (below). I’m using MonkeyEngine SDK 3.0. There was a Support Request made by someone on this 1.5 years ago:
http://hub.jmonkeyengine.org/forum/topic/importing-a-node-containing-bitmaptext/

Is there any plan to fix this bug?
Is there a known work around for it until it is fixed?
Is there a bug tracking facility on the JMonkeyEngine website? I looked around and could not find any.
Is there a list of what has been fixed in various releases?

BitmapText can’t be saved/loaded in a j3o. It’s a “limitation”, “bug” whatever you want to call it.

pspeed:

Are there any other classes derived from Node that have this same problem?

Any of them without a no-arg constructor, I guess.

Hmm, that thread seems to have quite good code you can use it to make it savable/loadable. And perhaps get it patched to JME if you get it working? If it is a limitation/bug, I’m sure it has a chance to get accepted.
