Flickering Terrain

Was wondering if anyone has seen this before. I have no problems with my other worlds, but this is the first world i made that uses are more complex terrain and this is my result.


Wow, that’s pretty messed up.

First thing I’d do is print out your scene graph and make sure you don’t have extra objects in there somehow.

I’d also check your graphics card drivers are up to date.

Some other people might have more specific terrain suggestions.

Like zarch say, I wouldn’t be surprised if you managed to get 2 terrain quads at the same location in your scene graph. I did that mistake once and it looked similar. One easy way to find out is if you are using jbullet physics for the terrain. If so, enable the debug drawing and it should be pretty easy to see the collision meshes and see if there are actually two meshes :slight_smile:
