since i never said hello i take this wonderful opportunity to express my deep feelings about this project, too.
toying around with jme is indeed great fun! i was really scared i had to get my hands dirty on some ugly c/c++ engine before i found this great project, thanks for saving my sanity.
what really impressed me wasn't only the ease of use (it's java, i'm expecting ease of use g) or the quality, but the community. i'm quite sure the response time, quality and dedication of the community rival several commercial support contracts.
darkfrog is another point where the jme community beats commercial support. what company would send out "funny" replies to your support request when they don't have any clue.
I would just like to echo Hal/Chris's comments. I've been playing around with jmonkey and lurking on this forum on and off for months and I'd like to extend my appreciation to this community for the great ideas and great humour.
Now I should make a dig at darkfrog or frogs in general, hm…
I used to run my own business and had to handle support calls every now and again. No wonder people kept asking to talk to me…it wasn't my technical skills they wanted, it was my frogliness. :-p

Hey, now you don't mean to think that I never have a clue to the answer to people's questions do you? I thought it was obvious I ALWAYS have the answers, I just withhold them to allow the other people here an opportunity to look good....yeah....that's it. ;)
Besides, making jokes is a lot more fun than giving answers...
It works like this, is an easy game…we all think of some bad joke, but with the word frog in the middle …doesn't matter how bad it is, is accepted by the comunity…
just don't overuse it… monkeys do also like it…till an extent XDDDD

i don't consider it bad at all. as a matter of fact, i consider it as a part of the jme development cycle
…and i suppose you would complain (without smilies showing their tongues) if the bashing would hurt that much… unless the statement in my last post is true (got you!)
