How to do "Stark Contrast' lighting

I think I read some where that not adding any ambient lights is a good start …is their any other thing I need to do consider…I’m in the office… got back my day job -.- , so I can’t really test this myself right now…I am trying to pull off a noir-ish graphic novel look for my game.

thanks in advance

Yeah, with just directional light you get pretty much black from the non-lighted sides of objects. But you’ll probably want to add shadows to increase the effect.

thanks man…also would spot light work as well

spotlight works a bit different afaik, it should always have a distinct contrast separation as it only “projects” the light cone to that part of the material.
