How to make Rivers?

Good morning people, hope all are well.

As part of my next feature for my editor Envision3D, I was wondering how would I implement a river material or filter on a mesh?

I have this idea that I can just reuse the current WaterFilter, however I don’t know if it is possible to provide the WaterFilter with a different Mesh.

Does anyone know if I can achive something like this, or know how to?
