How to use shadows in JME


When I load something into JME, no matter what loader or what light/materials etc, it looks flat and lifeless…

And I guess it's because there are no shadows.

I know about shadowrenderpass…and directshadowmaprenderpass.but those are not really options for me

because of performance.

Can't you produce a "ShadowMap" once and for all, for static elements ?

Or what should one do ? I was thinking about "baking shadows" in blender…

How does everyone else do  it ?
