Import c4d in jMonkey

Hey all,

how can i import c4d-Files in jMonkey? I’m using “Cinema4D R12” and found already a plugin (http://skinprops.com/iogre.php) for exporting models in ogre-format, but it doesn’t work with my cinema-version.

Any ideas? Best regards!

Hi!!! The official model format is OGRE. You can export meshes, bones, animation through OGRE format.

Official exporters of ogre format: http://www.ogre3d.org/download/tools

Have a try these exporters for c4d:

payed:

http://game-engine.visual3d.net/forum/showthread.php?t=754 - payed plugin 25$

free:

Also, you can try to install obj/collada/x/3ds/blender support plugin into JMPlatform and export from c4d any listed format.

Also, you can write c4d support plugin for JMPlatform. :stuck_out_tongue:

another way is to export to obj, then import obj into blender, then export from blender to ogre.

jME3 can load .obj directly. But this pipeline is no good for animated models.

@mifth

i tried your payed plugin, but it doesn’t work with my cinema-version i think. anyway the plugin isn’t listed in the plugin-list in cinema.

did you try it with cinema4D R12?

thanks for your answers!

I’m a blender user and i use blender to export to OGRE. You can export obj into blender, then animate (if you need) and export from blender to ogre. Something like that:
