If you're doing this to learn programming in java Slick might be worth a look.

I was checking for some time for an api and then I came across with slick and jmonkey, I decided to ask you because Jmonkey seems to have a lot of support and activity around it, unlike slick.



And yes, the point is to learn Java at the same time, probably needs some more time than game maker but I
