I’ve been following the project silently for about 2 years now and it made me so happy to see that new loading screen with the “Stable” label on it after updating. Widest smile of the day, and it’s still going.
Great work everyone, thanks so much for such an amazing engine! Between the Wiki, the forums, and jME’s source code I’ve learned more about 3D game development from this spectacular community than any other resource I’ve seen online - hands down! Thank you so much!

You should however download the new application instead of going via the nightly updates, as with any “large” update:
http://hub.jmonkeyengine.org/downloads/
It also contains a compatible JDK and Blender version so you get everything in one package with it
Haha, yeh I went for the installer download after some issues with the auto-updater. That’s when I realized there was a big update. Assuming it went stable when the home page was redesigned, I’ve been running RC2 for about a month too long - so I might be a bit late to the stable release party.
