It’s been almost 3 years since I downloaded JMonkey … Although I started with 30 years of professional programming experience, I knew nothing about game development. JMonkey was the PERFECT choice. It forces you to actually LEARN about how to write games instead of drag and dropping crap on the screen and cut and pasting someone else’s controllers without really having a clue about what is going on like Unity does. This community and this wonderful engine are an amazing combination and for that I thank you all! A special thank you goes to all the contributors that take so much time out of their days to make it all happen!
Thanks for being a productive and active member of the monkey community.
I’d like to add my thanks to the core devs, contributors, and members of the community. JMonkeyEngine and the ecosystem around it (Lemur, SimEthereal, SkyControl, the SDK & JMB, and countless other projects made freely available by members of the community) make game development possible for those of us who otherwise would not have the time, experience, or resources necessary to make a 3D game engine from scratch.
Thanks so much to all for all you do!
Me too, thank you all.
I would like to add to the celebration of thanks, you guys all rock!
