Loading a 3ds Model with textures

Ok i've searched and tried many different ways of loading a 3ds model but most of the post on the forums use now deprecated methods (Like Jme BinaryReader), i have managed to load the model but the textures are not shown. Is there a certin way of exporting the model from 3d Studio Max?



If i try and just load a pre converted jme i get the following error:


java.io.FileNotFoundException: objtest.jme (The system cannot find the path specified)



Which is a file not found, but the file is there. (in obj in the bin directory)
  1. BinaryReader/BinaryWriter is now replaced with BinaryImporter/BinaryExporter
  2. The textures are not loaded because you need to use ResourceLocatorTool to specify search paths for them
  3. You probably get a FileNotFoundException because your root directory is not set-up correctly, try System.out.println(System.getProperty("user.dir"));
