I’m involved in the development of a freeware game being developed using the jmonkey engine. The game is a fanmade 3D remake of a game called Notrium. Currently tho we have very few people available to work on this and need, in particular, more programmers familiar with the Java language. We would be very happy to get in more people who are fans of or who have at least played the origional Notrium, but anyone willing to work on this would be very welcome.
