I think it is great that we have this new site layout. However I am not sure I understand how news are posted atm. For example I really feel that nymon’s Scene Monitor deserves a news report as its a really nice and useful tool…
However how would this happen? Is it still so that only 1 person can make news-posts and if the person is not around we will get none? Or are more people allowed access? Also how can we, the community, suggest news-pieces? Can we at all? Would this mean making a separate post here as I am doing it now?
I guess the line gets fuzzy at some point but I would aven/also consider giving a small headline on the front page when some bigger jME game does another greater release? Does not happen very often after all… But it is not directly ‘Engine news’ I understand…
I hope this will spark some thoughts… and perhaps also put nymon on front page…
Right now, news is just a Wordpress page, with editor accounts given to developers that want it. Posting news is just me writing about something that I found that was interesting. I'll look into adding a link to suggest your own news stories.
news section now has a submission form (link on the right). There is also a screenshot submission form as well.
Cool… thanks for that mojomonk…
I am wondering if the browse button design is intentional or accidental?
accidental, working on it.
Reminder: you can add some jME feeds to your news reader:

On topic: it is great to receive some more jME news :).
jjmontes said:I think you can add feeds for the forum as well, as we did this for our website (the dev. blog is just a board). We're running 2.0 though, so I'm not sure if the same is possible with 1.1.5.
