Missing jme3 template

This is the second day I have been going at this - and not getting anywhere.
I’ve installed netbeans-8.0.1-javase-windows.exe, and extracted jME3_2014-06-12 in the NetBeansProjects folder.
I followed this example successful https://wiki.jmonkeyengine.org/legacy/doku.php/jme3:setting_up_netbeans_and_jme3, but I can’t follow this one https://wiki.jmonkeyengine.org/legacy/doku.php/jme3:beginner:hello_simpleapplication, because I don’t see the jme3 template in the categories and so can’t do this:
In the New Project wizard, select the template JME3→Basic Game. Click Next.
All the examples and videos have this feature. Mine doesn’t.
I’ve searched the net for hours trying to find what I’m missing, but unsuccessful.
I even tried installing and building the source. Am I missing a plugin.

Curious, is there a reason you are going this route instead of just using the jME SDK… which is netbeans?

I was trying to download the file jmonkeyplatform-windows-x64 from http://hub.jmonkeyengine.org/downloads/ numerous times. The download repeatedly stopped either at the last second on my download manager, or half-way on my browser downloader.

I had tried that before, and had the same problem, but I realized there was a problem with my pc, because I reset it yesterday, and it downloaded the other file. So that’s fixed. Thanks.

Glad you got it working. The thing with the direct links is that your download manager should be able to resume where it left off… it can’t with the other links.
