This is a question from some one not at all familiar with 3D. Please forgive my ignorance.



Can I use JME to create simple 3D graphics that will embed in an HTML page and work on a wide variety of mobile devices?

No, you can create separate apps for mobile platforms, mostly w/o programming anything special for that platform though.

Ok. Unfortunately I am looking for a solution to embed some simple 3D models in HTML. This is only a small part of the web site functionality and does not merit building apps.
