Multiple materials on the same mesh?

Hello guys anyone have a clue on how to set multiple materials on parts of a mesh? using the vertex buffers ?

forget it, I think the right solution is to make 1 material that uses a map for describing how it should behave depending on the map values.

Well you cannot use multiple materials on one mesh as far as I know. Split the mesh to more meshes or use texture atlas if feasible.

Well either split it, or do a uebershader that does diffferent stuff depending on some value passed to it (textcoords, vertexattribues, texturemapcontents uniforms)

yeah, i think that how i’m going to handle it
