Thanks to everyone (mostly @normen) who helped me out with all the noob-questions I had.

Hey cool, actual gameplay! This looks good, do you use bullet physics or just animation? Any way, great presentation

All the animations except full-model rotation and scaling are done in Blender using Armature (bones). I have a BulletAppState for physics and AnimChannel for animations. So I guess i use both bullet physics and animation if that answers your question.

I meant for moving and jumping etc., great work!

The boss, player and trolls extends PhysicsCharacterNode. I use jump() and setWalkDirection(Vector3f) for moving and jumping

Ha ha the music is hilarious! Jumping on evil toddlers looks like fun I guess, but after a while it might get a little bori–OMGBOSSFIGHT!

cool man good work!

LOL!!what a tease!!

good work!

will you release a playable version?

There is a link to the download in the video description on youtube. I added it in the first post as well.

great works like a charm on win 7

This is really neat! I like the colors, music, and how the keys open the door. I got to the boss but I can’t figure out how to beat him. I can’t bounce the balls back into him and the axe never misses. Having a ball blow up on the wall near him doesn’t seem to hurt him either. What do I need to do?

Also, do you want suggestions or are you pretty much done?

I love it! The look totally reminds me of Super Mario 64

Thanks for the feedback

I wanted to make it tricky but perhaps it was a bit too tricky. You are supposed to jump on the balls.

The game is completed. Unless someone finds a severe bug i will most likely not update it.

Your game is awesome , i just played 30 minutes of it and i loved it , the question i’m asking your 3D model assets , you put them in a asset.jar file and we have access of everything , is there a way to have a better protection than that ?

The best protection is the actual copyright you have when you created the assets, you can sue anybody using them. Otherwise, theres always a way to access the assets so encryption systems are nothing but a nuisance…

Is that because of Java ? Or are you telling me that even in a unreal engine game it's the same story ?

In unreal its the same story. Copyright is copyright, nobody is allowed to steal your stuff. You don’t run around in a bullet-proof west, its enough that people are not allowed to shoot you

lol ok, thank you

Wow, 30 minutes :O
I really doubt anyone would take my poor models. And if someone did i would just be honored that someone thinks they are good :P

Do I have to write copyright somewhere or are the models automatically copyrighted to me when i create them?

Everything that you do is originally copyrighted by you and nobody can take it. Only thing is proving that sometimes, best way is to go to a notary and store a copy of the artwork with him when it was created. This way you can prove that you did it earlier than a possible “thief”.
