Ye, Google usually only accepts projects, from which they think they will get something. And they mainly program in C and Python, they kinda don't need Java…  :frowning:

No, Google uses Java a lot, look at Android for example.

Or heck, guice. If they didn't like java, they wouldn't develop libraries for it.
