Not a problem but something that might help a LOT of people

I’ve noticed that when I export an OBJ from 3DS Max 9, the smoothing groups are waaaay off and it looks bad. Same from Blender. So I’ve started exporting my models to OBJ, importing them into Wings3D, then re-exporting it to OBJ. This makes the smoothing groups show. Figured I’d let everyone know!


You will need to check “Export Normals” in the Blender OBJ export dialog for the model to look smooth.

if you use 3dsmax i would skip obj and directly install the ogremax plugin, way less problems.
