Another video in the Halloween Party (Friday 27-Oct-2023 9PM GMT-4) series. This one on how to make your own costumes!!! Super important for a costume party. Mythruna Clothing Editor Tutorial
Prolific with the videos this week since I was trying to do one a day (and a few youtube shorts also)
Third video of the Halloween Party series shows how to connect to the server. Critical if you want to attend on 27-Oct at 9PM GMT-4. Mythruna Connecting and Creating a Character Tutorial
Started adding a grab & throw mechanic to the game. Pressing on X will start the grab action followed by a throw action in case the grab succeeded (there’s a ~0.2 seconds chance for the grab to succeed).
The throwing is made by:
- Temporary detaching the character control from the old fighter
- Attaching the old fighter to the “mixamorig:RightHand” joint of the main player
- Running the throw animation of the player while running the getting thrown animation of the old fighter
- ~0.1 seconds while the animations are running, re-attach the character control simultaneously initiate a jump and a moving forward on the character control
Crushes demons. Halloween Special!
Hello everyone, in this video I would like to show you a prototype Halloween-themed car game.
- Accumulate points by crushing demons with your car while avoiding obstacles.
- Green boxes allow you to recover energy lost during collisions.
- You can jump with the car to crush enemies by landing on them (I like this idea a lot).
- You can crush enemies only after exceeding a certain speed.
The demo contains a lot of concepts:
- LightProbe
- Shadows & Materials
- FilterPostProcessor
- Decals
- Particles VFX
- Sounds
- Physics Vehicle
- Wander AI
- Inputs
- Collisions and more.
Lights, filters, shadows and materials took a lot of time to find a satisfactory configuration. Another tricky aspect was finding a way to prevent the sounds produced by the crushed demons from overlapping.
Wish list:
NavMesh, better AI, waves of enemies, shop where you can buy upgrades with points accumulated from kills, turbo rockets for the car, graphical improvements and much more…
Write me your suggestions in the comment.

Edit: Added NavMesh & better AI.
I like the blood effects you made, and also the sound effects when the vehicle crushes the monsters!
Thank you @JhonKkk , you are also doing a fantastic job on the evolution of the rendering engine. I follow your progress with great interest and really appreciate your technical explanations.
Closing out October with another screenshot from the MonkeyWrench project: a single model in OBJ format, on the left loaded using MonkeyWrench, on the right loaded using jme3-core.
