Ogre Mesh animation by envelopes?! (Model exported from Blender)

Hi, is it possible to make the animation of a Model by envelopes instead of vertex groups? The animation of my model only works when I have assigned vertex groups to the bones. In Blender it works fine, only after I import the model into the game the mesh doesn’t follow the bones. With a SkeletonDebugger object I can see the bones moving though.


If I recall correctly there’s some script or another way to “bake” the rigging onto vertex groups?

I think orge only work with vertex groups.

There is a handy tool in bender to convert envelops in vertex groups…i think…

It’s not magic though, you’ll need adjust the weight painting afterward, but it will save you a lot of time.

it’s a magic shortcut like ctrl+p in armature mode or something like that.
