Physics and terrain

Is it possible to mold or wrap a terrain in a StaticPhysicsNode?

As it is right now I have it ever so slightly under the terrain … this works fine for flat areas … but what about hills and valleys???

At first I had my objects build their own Static node and it would follow them around the terrain adjusting the height as it moved below the bouncing boxes … but this quickly ate up fps as more and more boxes where added … I think I got to 400 before my fps dropped below 50.

So I figured I would be better of making one huge one … makes more sence any way … at least for the terrain. Any body got any ideas??

should be possible, just attach the terrain (or any trimesh) to the staticNode and generate triangle accurate physicsgeometry.
