Plugin oops

An update to one of the WordPress plugins we use broke rewriting today.

Disabled the plugin and we now we’re back!

Is it somehow related to the fact that java tags are not working anymore?

I think the java tags were turned off until they can be fixed. They are horribly broken and were swallowing many lines of code sometimes. At least now users won’t be lulled into a false sense of thinking that it’s working.

@sbook, the issue popped back this morning. The wordPress SEO got re-enabled (idk why, who, when).
I disabled it again and it seems to work now.

Do we have an automated update for plugins?

There’s no feature (that I know of, or can find in a Google search) that does this. Not sure why in the hell this got re-enabled again (it happened once last week).

Time for the nuclear option. Removing the plugin.

uhhhh, just went to delete it and found that its active again. Deactivated and deleted.

If it comes back now, blame ghosts.
