I'm new to JME but not to Java 
I'm following the "Getting Started" chapter in order to install JME on Windows XP.
I've downloaded JME scource files via cvs , total og 6.34 MB.
when I enter the command "ant dist-all" I get a lot of javac errors that some packages are not exist,
ot cannot find symbol.
I really don't know what to do

Sounds like cvs only grabbed part of jme. I'm only a newbie, but iirc my checkout was roughly 20 MB, before building.
Try updating and see if cvs grabs any more files.
