Is there any difference between fbx and FBX? An FBX model works just fine for me, no converting necissary, but fbx doesn’t do that.

  1. in what manner the fbx doesn’t work
  2. any known differences between the model that works and the one that doesn’t

Difference where? Where do you see “fbx” and “FBX” as distinct options?
