Problem on Ubuntu

Hi,

I’m a new user of this engine.

I’m trying the HelloAssets example and I have a problem.

When I run the program, this is the output on the console:

GRAVE: Uncaught exception thrown in Thread[LWJGL Renderer Thread,5,main]

java.lang.NullPointerException

at mygame.HelloAssets.simpleInitApp(HelloAssets.java:27)

at com.jme3.app.SimpleApplication.initialize(SimpleApplication.java:155)

at com.jme3.system.lwjgl.LwjglAbstractDisplay.initInThread(LwjglAbstractDisplay.java:102)

at com.jme3.system.lwjgl.LwjglAbstractDisplay.run(LwjglAbstractDisplay.java:147)

at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:619)

Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dl-close.c: 731: _dl_close: Assertion `map->l_init_called’ failed!

Java Result: 127

I tryed in Ubuntu 9.10 and 10.04 and the problem is the same.

What happens in line 27? Whats the output of the Application? I guess you try to use the models Spatial somehow there and the model could not be loaded before, so the Spatial is null. Did you add the demo assets to the project as indicated in the tutorial?

Solved!

I added the demo assets in the project, but in a wrong path.

Ok! Thank you very much :slight_smile:

You dont have to specify any paths at all, just right-click, select properties, go to libraries, click add library and select “jme3-test-data”.
