If i can give you one advice: Use subclipse rather than subversive. Even if there is no Ganymede version, its still better

It just won't add to the list of Available Software in Help->Software Updates... (in eclipse)

From my experience use Ganymede and subeclipse, I would say it's a waste of time. I gave up trying to make it work since I was getting many errors trying to check out using subeclipse 1.4. I recommend you go back to Eclipse 3.2 (Europa) and use subeclipse 1.2, I never had problems using this before. If you can't find Eclipse Europa on the eclipse site, you could google it and find a link that has this version for download.
