The puya is a game and we are making it like battlefield vs world of warcraft, fps and 3rd person, the render quality is fps and 3rd person. The game is humans vs fantasy vs zombie vs

The game is a dynamic AI area. The game is so complx I had to confrne 2 hrs to talk about the game.

We need someone that knows JAVA to advs.

jME is cabable to accomplish your requierements, is easy and has a nice graphic.
You can ask me your questions, but....

...this is your first game, right?

First thing, don't use "project manager", because ... well let's say it's typical for greenhorns. Better you say "Leading Programmer" or something else.
Second thing, it's much work and you need a high level of skills to accomplish your goal.
I don't think you posses the necessary skills.

If you want to start a project, start easy.
Search for jME AirCarrier
It's a airplane fight simulation

If you can add features to it or understand the code, than you can handle the project, otherwise your chances are nearly zero.

But you seem to have a concept. That's a good point

Just remember that you can ask any jME question you have, and it will be answered. If you are just starting out, I suggest working through the Flag Rush Tutorials.

Hi Josh,

Welcome to the zoo

You should try to get a web site up ASAP, the artwork that you've posted to the Brass Goggles forum is stunning! A web site would really help to publicise this some more!

Well, the folks here can help with development questions all right. Is this a solo project or do you have a team put together to work on this? You should get you programmers to introduce themselves here as well.

Cheers, and good luck with the game!
Ian.

Apparently Puya moved away from JME to some other .NET engine already…

Something seems similar to this video…

(around 5mins in…)

people love to create projects, cause they can call themselves project managers, CTOs etc even if the project only consists of one person and the project never gets past one forum post…

Puya apparently has 600 models made for it (info given to me by josh_sg1). But there's barely any in-game screenshots/vids and it seems like movement from one game engine to another is common. Most videos demonstrate artwork but no programming: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=joshsg1&view=videos

Make your own conclusions..

I believe they are moving to Unity http://unity3d.com/

too bad models are pretty useless if created before the tech, when you don't know what you need in terms of polycount, texture sizes, types of textures, moving/non moving parts, LOD, how you will generate lighting/shadowing etc etc etc. and animated/skinned models and terrain is a much bigger headache than static models.
