Released files

I am quite happy to start hosting them again.

I believe jME is still months away from release candidates… devs please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

I agree that JME2 is far from a release candidate, but does that mean that there should be no files to download? I would say: Stick a BIG warning on it, call the file JME2PrePrePreAlphaUseAtYourOwnRisk.zip, but provide one. Especially newbies would benefit from this, as it makes it easier to get something up and running.

Well the idea was that newbies do not use jME 2, but a stable version…

Well that really never worked because everyone (including the devs) have kept advising that jME 2.0 is at least as stable as 1.0 but with more features. It seems that most newcomers atm move directly to 2.0

We need to pick up the pieces

What is required to make JME2.0 stable.

When does 2.1 start and what will be in it.

We really need a steering committee

Hear hear.

@Developers: Does the release candidate depend on the engine's overall stability, or is it more closely tied to the planned featurelist for the 2.x-line? If the former, I'd say you've got your RC already
