Reset default model position

In my application a player can pickup items. The items have models which are loaded in and given a physics bound mesh. When a player requests to pick up an item it removes the physics bound mesh but it seems the translation and rotation values are kept. How do I reset it back to as if the model was just loaded in?
I have tried node.setLocalTranslation(Vector3f.ZERO) and node.setLocalRotation(Quaternion.ZERO) and node.center() but they don’t seem to do anything.

Probably not related to your problem but I thought I would mention it anyway:
.setLocalRotation(Quaternion.ZERO)

…is definitely not a valid rotation.

Haha, I was just trying anything and everything.

Turns out if I disable the RigidBodyControl before removing it from the physics space it works as intended. Idk if this is a bug or not?
