setMaxSubSteps and deterministic

Hi again,

if we want deterministic physic, we just set setMaxSubSteps to a relatively big number like 10.

The problem is sometimes it cannot be enough because old hardware and so on.

There is a way to “listen” if this limit is reached?

Yeah, your framerate drops :slight_smile: Its not really easy to determine if its the physics overloading the computer when theres other things happening as well… Measuring the time spent in the physics update is probably the best way…

it’s the best way if is the physic thread that grab all cpu time, but what if is another Thread, like Graphics?

I think the best way will synchronize sometime physics position, and warn all client that is too much desinc.
