Shadow Mapping in JME?

Does JME have support for shadow mapping? i tried to find info on it but didn't find any thing on jme website or source, but have heard people mentioning that they have used it on the forums.


There is no official implementation available. You're right, some people have implemented it for their personal (or commercial) projects but none of them have contributed it (yet).

I use shadow maps in my project. The full implementation in our code is a little too specific for general use, but you can check out this post for some code that could point you in the right direction.

The code in that post depends on GLSL shaders and calculates shadow map coordinates per pixel. You probably want to move that particular code to the vertex shader, but that depends on what kind of geometry you use in your scenes and what kind of performance you require.
