[solved]Blender ogrexml export vertices

Hi guys,

i exported model from blender to ogrexml format. But it has more (triple times) vertices than it should? Do you know why?:frowning:

I know that if i will swap to smooth, it will export how it should…but why is that?

When using flat shading, the vertex data cannot be shared between the triangles that use it. Each triangle must have unique version of that vertex with its own normal vector, hence 3x duplication. Basically, don't use flat shading unless you actually need it for something.
